
Over 3000 fans enjoy spectacular new event..
The UK’s newest high Octane event, The Supercar and Rally Show, blasted into Oswestry Showground on the 6th Maye.
The show known as ‘The Speed & Rally Show in association with Motorsport News, thrilled crowds of over 3000 people on a gloriously sunny Father’s day.
Ariel Motor Company as course car partner took their Nomad out onto the track in front of families enjoying the sunshine on the racecourse banking, and made dreams come true with competition winners getting a passenger rides in it.
Over 50 vehicles entertained on track during the day with cars driven in their past by rally greats such as Ari Vatanen, Hannu Mikkola and of course Colin McRae. The track was expertly looked after by the knowledgeable team from Broughton-Bretton Motor Club. A big highlight of each session was a Supermoto demonstration handled by Chester based Supermoto UK, the riders performing unbelieveable antics on their machines.

Lots for us to look at for next year but the overwhelming feedback has been very positive so we shall look to build on that’’
Of course the day wasn’t just about on track, trade stands and a large craft fair graced the entrance to the event, whilst the Oak Tree paddock was the scene of car clubs and charitable group Sporting Bears who gave Supercar rides in return for a donation, the proceeds of which went to The Hope House hospice, who will be receiving over £1800 from the day.
